Website- The Healthy Skeptic

I recently came across the ideas of Chris Kresser, an acupuncturist, and as the title of his website suggests, a skeptic when it comes to conventional wisdom regarding health and well-being.

On Tuesday, April 26, Robb Wolf, Matt LaLonde and Chris will be taking part in a roundtable discussion to share their current research and interests. These three have differing opinions when it comes to concerns such as fish oil supplementation and dairy so the discussion should be lively. The title of the podcast is the Paleo-Nerd-A-Thon. You can link up to it on Chris' website through the link below.

Now, if only they would invite someone from the Weston A. Price Foundation to take part in the discussion!

  1. Thanks for posting this. I'm new to the concept of paleo nutrition and am hungry for all the info I can get (pun intended). I am especially interested for ideas about paleo-friendly snacking or treats. Cheers!

  2. My favorite treat right now - is an apple with almond butter on top.

  3. I also make a custard/flan-like dessert.

Really easy. (Everything I make is REALLY easy)

    5 eggs - whisked for 2 min
add 1.5 cans coconut milk and 2 tsp vanilla.

Pour into 9x12" casserole (or ramekins if you have'em). Place this inside another casserole and pour boiling water into the larger casserole - I think this is called a "Bain Marie." The water layer keeps the flan from burning. Cook for 25 - 25 minutes at 325 degrees.

Add coconut flakes if desired. (Ariane says she adds fruit, but then ups the cooking time).

    It's delicious when warm.
