I am impressed with everyone for persevering to the end, and maintaining good form even as fatigue set in. This WOD also reminded us about the importance of knowing how to choose your kb weight for this kind of a workout.
As athletes begin to fatigue in this WOD, it becomes difficult to maintain good technique on the KB snatch. To avoid shoulder injury it is of utmost importance to be sure to keep the "punch up" in line with the body rather than letting the arm move away from the body.
Overall, everyone was able to maintain good form and/or knew enough to reduce the kb weight if their form was going. Congrats!
I enjoy coaching athletes who are willing to work through a difficult movement, but who are also willing to reduce the weight in order to achieve and maintain excellence in form. Overall, the athlete who can do so will benefit much more - seeing greater gains and less injury!

ReplyDeleteThis was a deceptively difficult WOD.
