Good luck Helen

Helen is taking part in the Canadian Death Race this weekend. I have attached a link to the website. Helen has been training hard for what is obviously going to be a very grueling challenge. Good luck Helen! I am confident all of your CrossFitting has developed the stamina and leg strength you will need to climb the mountain.

  1. I can't wait to see her cross the finish line. If I have a signal for my Blackberry in the mountains, I'll send updates in as she blows through each check point.

Crossfit as been a primary element of her training for this event. I'm sure it's going to be a significant contributor to her success!

  5. Helen finished Leg 1 strong. She arrived at the transition point right on schedule. She's feeling good and is heading for her first mountain climb. I'll see her again at about 4:30.

  7. Crewing is really busy. More than I thought. I have lots of gear to prep and always have to be an hour ahead of Helen. Not much time to shop or read. While I wait I cheer the other runners on (several from Regina too).

  8. Well...Death Race is done for Helen in 2010. She missed the time cut off at the end of leg 2 do is now out of the race. We've just had supper and drinks and will head out to cheer for other runners soon.

Helen says "thanks for the box jumps, Darci". They make a big difference in the technical part of the run. She was box jumping logs, rocks, and tree root "steps". She feels great...and know that Crossfit made a difference.

See you in a few days!!
