eat your vegetables


Seriously, do you really eat enough fruits and vegetables? I know I don't.  For the next week try and eat at least one serving of vegetables at every meal, snacks included.  I am starting this tonight.

  1. What I really like about being on this "Zone" diet is that it forces me to eat tons of vegetables. Since I eat almost no grain products, I have to make up for carbs in low glycemic vegetables and some fruit. Fran and I go through several pounds of broccoli, cabbage, and other vegetables every week. I highly recommend it!

  2. Yes, I was thinking of you two when I wrote this blog. I have started to do something that Brendan recommends- gorging on the vegetables and then making up for the extra carbs with grains. This way, vegetables are first and then the grains. Sure you still might eat some grains but your intake of vegetables goes up

  3. Perhaps folks would be into posting some recipes for veggies - I mean I love them steamed and all but it's good to shake things up. Any thoughts?
