Flux - School of Human Movement: Teen Program
The goal of the Flux CrossFit - School of Human Movement Teens Program is to introduce young people to our unique and innovative physical culture. At the core of this culture is an appreciation for diverse movement practices, self-discipline, and an appreciation for quality, nutrient dense food.
Gymnastics, olympic weightlifting, acrobatics, mobility and floreio form the foundation of our teen program, and for good reason. Developmental work in these areas, especially when started at a young age, will offer a return for years down the road.
We understand that young people need extra guidance in their athletic endeavors. This is why at Flux we offer on average a 3 to 1 athlete to coach ratio. Every teen is given lots of attention from our elite coaching team.
Integral to the success of our Flux Teen program is the fact that we offer individualized program prescription for each of our young members. This means that every teen athlete has her/his own program based on individual goals, strengths, weaknesses, and interests.
The Flux Teen Program runs Monday through Friday 4:15-5:15pm, as well as a brand new Flux Teen/Flux Kids Gymnastics class on Tuesday from 7:15-8:15pm (this class will be included as a bonus class for the Teens enrolled in our Flux Teens programs.
For those teens who also focus on Olympic Weightlifting, there are additional evening sessions dedicated to weightlifting they may attend.
Flux Teens can choose to train 2, 3, or 4 sessions per week (in addition to the Flux Teens/ Kids Gymnastics class on Tuesday evenings).
Flux Teens Fall Program begins the week of Sept. 3rd after the Labour Day weekend!
