Ted's Pistols

I love pistols.
To execute a pistol an athlete requires ankle flexibility, balance and strength. The pistol is also a great way to create muscular symmetry.

  1. Lovely form Tedd. This move is impressive to watch - folks going down and getting up - in a fluid motion.

To scale the pistol (or work up to being able to move to the bottom and back up) try using a box and lowering yourself down and coming straight back up. As you improve change to a lower box.

Another way to scale the move if you have trouble balancing is to reach out and hold your toe (trying to keep your leg straight out).

Progression each time is the key to achieving this skill.
